Cherry Dress made from Simplicity pattern 3833
It's a basic shift dress with gathered sleeves and a high neck line. The pattern also provides a belt, but personally I prefer wearing a ready made waist belt. The fabric was purchased at Fabric Land and it's 100% cotton. This is the first dress I've made and in hindsight I really should have opted for an easier pattern. Its been thrown across the room and stuffed back in the cupboard lots of times over the two years it's taken me to complete it!

No Sew Fleece Blanket
This is a very simple fleece blanket. It doesn't take long to make and requires no sewing so it's ideal for beginners.
You will need
- Two pieces of fleece fabric the same size. For this blanket I used pieces 150cm/150cm
Step 1
Line your fabric up with one piece on top of the other. Cut a 3" sqaure out of each corner of your fabric.
Step 2
Along each side of your fabric cut slits measuring 3" deep and 1" across.
Step 3
Tie the slits on the top piece of the fleece to the ones on the bottom in a double knot.
There you have it! A warm and cosy blanket in 3 easy steps! I've made a few of these as presents and they've been very popular!

Werner Herzog
Thought I'd start this blog by posting the scene from Julien Donkey Boy that I stole the name of the blog from. Plus we can all use a little bit of Werner Herzog to brighten up our day.
